Express Rail Link SDN BHD is a bullet train company in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia that shuttles people from KL Sentral to KLIA (Kuala Lumpur International Airport).

Express Rail Link or ERL is known as KLIA Express and KLIA Transit. There is a difference is KLIA Express and KLIA Transit. You will soon learn about the difference.

Construction of the line began in May 1997 and completed somewhere in 2002. The first service introduce is KLIA Transit followed by KLIA Express.

KLIA Transit alight at every single station in the train line whereas KLIA Express goes direct to KLIA without stopping.

The train cars are from Siemens AG. A Malaysian company has a joint relation with Siemens. Both Malaysia and Germany agreed on this project.

So far, there is no extentions to LCCT (Low Cost Carrier Terminal). But, KLIA is shifting LCCT to KLIA2, KLIAs newest terminal which is not constructed yet so ERL want to extend their services there. Before all this, there is high demand for a train service to LCCT. So in order to do that, ERL sent bus services from Salak Tinggi station to LCCT to and fro. But it was a slow process. If there was a train service, Salak Tinggi wii be a interchange and a new train line will go all the way to LCCT. KLIA2 is near to KLIA so they would be extending the line there.
